Ever since she was a just wee baby, I’ve always looked after my cousin Arian, and she swiftly grew into a lady right before my eyes. She’s the youngest girl in our clan and that was why everyone was so happy when she graduated as valedictorian of her class. When her graduation came, I instinctively did her hair and makeup. It was my honor and pleasure to have been part of one of the greatest milestones of her life. Along Arian, I also did her best friend’s hair and makeup. Lovely, by the way, also graduated with honors.
Since Arian brought her toga and cap with her, my sister decided to take their graduation pictures as well:
I also went to their graduation event to watch my cousin deliver her valedictory speech. It was heartfelt and I think I shed a tear! The event was held at Gloria’s Bahay Handaan—an open gathering hall with ample ventilation. It was a good thing that the weather was fair during that time so Arian and Lovely weren’t sweating throughout the program. I grabbed the photos that they took during and after the event:
Arian after the event. My proud uncle had a tarpaulin mounted for my cousin!
Lovely looked Jessy Mendiola-ish in that red dress! This was taken after the event.

Divine and Jeafrey hired me for their prenup shoot through event coordinator Marose Mendoza of Infinite Planner. I’ve worked with Marose before in a wedding covered by her husband Kurl of Kurl Marx Lifestyle Photography. I was thrilled to do Divine’s makeup for her prenup shoot because it would be located at The Greenery in Bulacan.
Since Divine and Jeafrey work overseas, they decided to use “travel” as the theme for their shoot and their upcoming wedding. The Greenery prenup shoot was ideal for their theme–there was a lighthouse and a small railroad track within the vicinity. The place was so pretty it gives your heart mini giggles.
For Divine’s makeup, we decided to go with the natural look to give her a fresh aura–kinda like no-makeup-makeup. I completed three hairstyles for her. The first one is an updo.
The second hairstyle I did was a loose, braid to pair with their casual look.
I let down Divine’s hair and swept it to the side for her third look.

The couple also worked with Emir Bautista of Studio Cinema House for their prenup and wedding videos. They created a short film depicting how Divine and Jeafrey fell in love with each other. Watch the lovely video below:
