Ever since she was a just wee baby, I’ve always looked after my cousin Arian, and she swiftly grew into a lady right before my eyes. She’s the youngest girl in our clan and that was why everyone was so happy when she graduated as valedictorian of her class. When her graduation came, I instinctively did her hair and makeup. It was my honor and pleasure to have been part of one of the greatest milestones of her life. Along Arian, I also did her best friend’s hair and makeup. Lovely, by the way, also graduated with honors.
Since Arian brought her toga and cap with her, my sister decided to take their graduation pictures as well:
I also went to their graduation event to watch my cousin deliver her valedictory speech. It was heartfelt and I think I shed a tear! The event was held at Gloria’s Bahay Handaan—an open gathering hall with ample ventilation. It was a good thing that the weather was fair during that time so Arian and Lovely weren’t sweating throughout the program. I grabbed the photos that they took during and after the event:
Arian after the event. My proud uncle had a tarpaulin mounted for my cousin!
Lovely looked Jessy Mendiola-ish in that red dress! This was taken after the event.

This was my first wedding for 2015, but I haven’t been able to maintain my blog for a while. I remember that during the beginning of the year, Marian and Dingdong’s wedding was still fresh and everyone was talking about them. What I particularly liked about Marian’s look was the braided hairstyle, so I suggested that we’d add braids for Iris’s hair as well. We did a different look for the trial/prenup makeup, but I’ve always prepared myself for last minute changes. Iris and Johndel met when they were studying at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. They’re still young, but I could see that the love they had was resilient and strong–the kind that will last forever.

Kept the makeup fresh, and placed the hair in an updo for the ceremony look
Closeup of Iris’s makeup – used traditional HD makeup on her.
Hair accessory was provided by the bride. Rose patterns+braids.
Bridal car shot, of course!
