Ulzzang Shoot with Jionor Verona

I’ve always found Jionor Verona’s shots fascinating. They’re simply edited, but you can find depth and even learn about foreign culture through them. Jio’s a fan of the Ulzzang craze from Korea. Basically, when someone is considered “Ulzzang” in Korea, it means they’re an online celebrity. These girls become Ulzzang because of their pretty faces and their fashion preference. In one of the shoots, I was invited to be a makeup artist with Jowee Gabiran as the model. Jio was going for the Yoon Eun Hye look.

Here are the photos Jio took:

Notice the mini cleft on Jowee's lower lip? I did that on purpose using lip tint--to add resemblance to Yoon Eun Hye

On our next shoot, I was the one who invited Jionor. So, I looked for a model, and was fortunate to find Flora Lee. She was very kind, and she agreed to do the shoot because of our common friend, Eom Shin. Flora took care of her first set of clothes, and I prepared her second look which was inspired by Flappers during the 1920s.

Here are some of the photos taken by Jionor during the first look:

The flower head dress was created by my sister. She also designs flower crowns so if you want to order one, feel free to contact me. 🙂
The last look reminds me of the movie, The Flowers of War. I really loved how the photos turned out. In the future, I hope to work with these people again. 🙂
